The Holdsworth Cup is a knockout competition played among independent schools in Sussex and Worth reached the final by beating Seaford College a week earlier.

In the final at Christ’s Hospital, Worth scored 129-2 from their 20 overs and that proved just enough as Hurst were restricted to 128-5.

Head of Cricket, Mr Raj Chaudhuri, said: “It was a total team performance and everyone played a part in it. Mali and his team deserve our heartiest congratulations as does Mr Cummins for running the side this term.”
